HOW TO REACH ELBA ISLAND
You can reach the island of Elba by car where on arrival to Piombino, some different shipping companies (Toremar , Moby Lines) offer comfortable ferry services that during the tourist season navigate hourly,on a daily basis. In only one hour circa, the ferries cover the 10Km distance from the mainland arriving in a chioce of ports; Portoferraio, Porto Azzurro, Rio Marina. 
For passengers without cars, a Hydrofoil service operates from Piombino to Portoferraio (Via Cavo ) in only 35 mins. of navigation.

Elba is also reachable by plane, there is an airport in Marina di Campo, La Pila location, from which are active connections with numerous Italian and European cities.

HOW TO REACH THE CAMPING CASA DEI PRATI


Lacona can be reached by car from Portoferraio in about 10 minutes. Once you leave the ferryboat, go on following the indications "Tutte le direzioni" (All directions) and then "Porto Azzurro".  (Yellow line, see the map)
Now you can follow two possible ways: from San Giovanni, turn right, where the signals indicate Lacona (Red line, clic to see the map), or go on towards Porto Azzurro/Capoliveri and then turn right at the following cross-roads, after few kilometres (Green line, clic to see the map).

From Rio Marina or Porto Azurro follow the yellow line in this map
